Showbiz stars are adding a touch of mariachi and margarita merriment to this year’s Cinco de Mayo celebrations. It kicks off at 11 a.m. today when CHiPs actor Erik Estrada hosts a 12-hour fiesta at Tacos & Tequilas (T&T) in the Luxor that includes a spicy senoritas Miss Hot Tamale contest with a $5,000 cash prize.
As chief judge, Erik will be joined by former Baywatch star and current Fantasyheadliner Angelica Bridges and Extra’s new Las Vegas reporter Alicia Jacobs. Also expect Carrot Top, who returns today from vacation, and Thunder From Down Under to be there for tonight’s crowning.
Also on tap throughout the day at T&T will be human rooster fights known as “cock-a-doodle duels” and, on this most sacred of party days, the unveiling of the mysterious Black Mambo Margarita. The Tequila Temptresses will be there all day, too, serving up shots to take advantage of whatever state you’re in at the Mischieve Photo Booth and airbrush tattoo station.
